Dominique H. Brown
Accredited Financial Counselor
DHB Wealth builders
Dominique H. Brown’s interest in money and how people use it can be tracked to her pre-professional days. From starting a profitable business in high school, to receiving scholarships valued over $200,000 for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, money has been on her mind frequently. At the age of 18, instead of spending all the money earned during her summer job, she opened a Roth Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
Dominique is an Accredited Financial Counselor®, Certified Retirement Counselor®, Ramsey Solutions® Certified Master Financial Coach, and founder of DHB Wealth Builders where her mission is to improve financial literacy in the African-American Community and empower them by providing the tools to build generational wealth.
She and her husband paid off over $58,000 in debt in about a year and on average her clients pay off $5,000 of debt and save $1,500 in the first month of working with her. Dominique does one-on-one financial coaching and speaks to community organizations, churches, and universities to teach unconventional yet practical and life-changing ways to improve their financial well-being based on biblical principles.
Dominique is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and received her Master’s in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. She is an active member of The Bridge church in Silver Spring, MD. In her “free time” she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dominique, her husband Adam, and their 5-year-old daughter Adrielle live in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
